Jon Martin began his culinary career as a dishwasher, but once he got on the line, there was no looking back. Both invigorating and relaxing, Jon had found his zen place — in the kitchen. He’s spent most of his career in D.C. and the Virginia suburbs including positions at Bob Kincaid’s Colvin Run Tavern and The Caucus Room Brasserie, but he also spent time at the late Homaro Cantu’s Chicago restaurant, Moto. When Jon moved to Richmond in 2018, he landed a position with Pasture and then Julep’s, two Richmond-area Southern staples. If he’s trying to impress you, he’ll either think wildly outside of the box, or keep it ridiculously simple.
